Avocado may lower your Blood Pressure
You undoubtedly know that potassium controls fluid in the body and can help decrease dietary sodium blood pressure. Bananas are a rich source of potassium, as you undoubtedly already know.
However, did you know that 1 cup of cubed avocado has 728 mg of potassium, which is 300 mg more than a medium banana? Potassium not only aids in the removal of salt from the body.
But it also relaxes the walls of blood vessels, reducing blood pressure even further. According to Anthony L Komaroff, M.D., Editor in Chief of Harvard Health Letter, “those who don’t eat a lot of potassium-rich foods are more likely to develop high blood pressure and have a stroke.”
